Collection Instructions:

If pre-processing before sending to the laboratory:

Allow to clot 30 minutes, centrifuge, refrigerate and return to lab within 8 hours.

Reference Values

Rubella Interpretation of results:

• < 10 IU/mL - Non-Reactive. Negative for anti-Rubella IgG.

• > = 10 IU/mL - Reactive. Positive for anti-Rubella IgG.  The presence of IgG antibodies to Rubella virus is an indication of previous exposure either by prior infection or by vaccination.

The results were obtained with the Elecsys Rubella IgG assay. Results from assays of other manufacturers cannot be used interchangeably.
