To confirm Rh negative status an ABO and Rh type is required prior to issuing Rhogam.

Specimen Requirements
Rhogam administration must be scheduled through Rutland Regional Medical Center Central Scheduling 802-747-1880.
Specimen Type: Blood
Container/Tube: Pink EDTA K2 or Red top tube
Specimen Volume: Full tube
Specimen Minimum Volume: 5 mL

Reference Values
RhoGAM is only given if the following criteria are met: Rh-negative with no active Anti-D present.
Note: A full dose of RhoGAM is recommended for bleeding episodes when patient is still pregnant.
