Specimen Requirements

  •  Specimen Type: Nasopharyngeal Swab
  • Container/Tube (Preferred): Flocked Mini-swab in Universal Transport Media (UTM)
  • Specimen Volume: Entire specimen
  • Specimen Stability: 3 days refrigerated
  • Collection Instructions: Nasopharyngeal swab specimens should be collected according to standard technique and immediately placed into viral transport media and submitted for testing.
