IMPORTANT NOTE:  Outpatient blood product administration must be scheduled through the RRMC Central Scheduling Department 802-747-1880. 

The following products are orderable in Cerner:
- Red Blood Cells:  Blood Bank Red Blood Cells or Red Blood Cells
- Platelets: Blood Bank Platelets or Platelets
- Fresh Frozen Plasma:  Blood Bank Plasma, FFP, Fresh Frozen Plasma
- Cryoprecipitate: Blood Bank Cryoprecipitate

When placing an order for a blood product transfusion, the following information is required: 
- Patient full, legal name
-DOB/MRN
- Priority of Request (routine, stat, etc)
-Type of Product (RBC, FFP,PLT, CRYO)
-Quantity
-Reason for transfusion
-Provider signature
