First, early morning, deep cough specimen for 3 consecutive mornings yields the best diagnostic results

Minimum volume is 2mL for each specimen.

Collect each specimen in a sterile container containing 30 mL of CytoLyt® fluid, and refrigerate all portions until delivered to laboratory.

Stable at Room Temperature.
