Specimen Requirements

Specimen Type: Cord Blood

Container/Tube: 1 lavender EDTA and 1 Plain Red

Specimen Volume: Full tubes

Specimen Minimum Volume: 2 mL in each tube

Collection Instructions:

1. Send specimen in original tube.

2. Label specimen with patient's full name, date of birth, date and time of draw, and name of phlebotomist.

Additional Information: Specimen is stable for 24 hours when refrigerated.
