Differentiation between acute and chronic or past hepatitis B infection in the presence of positive antihepatitis B core.

Specimen Type: Blood
Container/Tube: Gold top, serum gel

Specimen Volume: Full tube

Specimen Minimum Volume: 0.5 mL

Collection Instructions:

1. Send specimen in original tube.

2. If pre-processing before sending to the Lab: Allow to clot 30 minutes, (but not longer than 2 hours), centrifuge, refrigerate and return to the Lab.
