Collection Instructions:
1. Remove cervical mucous and/or secretions with swab, and discard.

2. Firmly sample the endocervical canal with a newly obtained sterile swab
7. Inoculate directly to Jembec culture media plate or send immediately to laboratory.

Aspirate joint fluid using needle and syringe

Specimen Type: Ocular (neonatal)

1. Collect specimen using a premoistened, culture swab.

2. Inoculate directly to Jembec culture media plate or send immediately to laboratory.

Collection Instructions:

1. Carefully insert culture swab approximately 1 inch beyond anal sphincter.
2. Gently rotate swab to sample anal crypts. Feces should be evident on swab.

3. Inoculate directly to Jembec culture media plate or send immediately to laboratory

Collection Instructions:

1. Patient should not have urinated for at least 1 hour prior to specimen collection.
2.Insert a urethrogenital swab 1-2 inches into the urethral lumen, rotate the swab, and leave it in place for at least 2 s. to facilitate absorption.
